I haven't voted Dave. Not sure if finances will let me go this year. But! I sure will if I can swing it. I don't want to miss all the laughing at the clowns in our group. Since I am not a guvmint employee any more, the dates do not make much difference to me.
Sorry, but there will be no Keys trip for me this year. Given the economy and a $500.00 bill to replace the stator on my bike this week, the idea of spending $150.00+ per night on a room in KW is just out of the question.
I'd rather spend 3 or 4 days on the road elsewhere in the state, where rooms can still be had for $50.00/night and there's actually somewhere to ride during the day.
Born and raised in FL, means "been there, done that" when it comes to KW, and just not worth the price tag to me.

Sorry to here that Charley, will not be the same without you, I can relate to the "been there, done that" when I think about going up to Franklin, nothing new about it except it is now overrun with transplants..

Hope you get the Sporty back to 100% soon.
Hehe, the difference being that in Franklin, you can pick any direction and RIDE. Once in KW, the only place to ride to, is out of there.
Another "been there, done that", but on a motorcycle, that would be an adventure.
Don't get me wrong guys, I like he Keys. I just can't justify the price tag of rooms during peak tourist season this year.
As a side note, it seems strange that we have people voting on when they want to go to the Keys, but they still haven't been able to contribute their share to the Ocala rally.
