We're really not stuck on a certain distance past Daytona. We'll be riding down from Savannah, GA in the AM and want to stop in Daytona for a while and then head south to stay for the night before heading out for Keywest the next AM.
We're planning this trip for early spring. Any recomendations on what the earliest we should plan for and still be safe with the weather? Really would like it to be in the 60's when we head out from Savannah.
Well ya won't get 60's here for sure! Let's see, Im not a meteorologist but it starts getting hot around late april. Hot I mean into high 80's
I could be wrong on this, I'm hot all year long. The small vatiations in the 80's 90's, I never kept track of. Its only cool here in Jan-Feb. Then it's into 70's-low 80's in march.
There has to be a website showing almanac of weather records right?
Just watch the weather. No promises here. Weather can change in a minute. There is a slogan in Florida. "If you don't like the weather, just wait 15 minutes"... It is usually true. It could call for 70s or 80s, and a cold front could come in at the last minute.
Me and a buddy are riding from Daytona (Bike week) and then down to the Key's , we are stopping off at West Palm Beach and then Islamorada before going on to Key West.
