THIS is why I chose not to post on the subject. The subjects to avoid talking about should be Religion, politics, abortion AND GUNS. Everybody's got their opinion.
While everyone makes a valid point, why make an argument out of it? Are you THAT bored?
Phlip96, you forgot oil. No posts on oil. wilburz, as you can see, quite a few folks agree with me on your post. Smart **** is a component of alot of posts around here too. I was merely highlighting a flaw in your logic similar to what the anti-gunners use. I have no way to determine the state of mind of anyone, absent gross abnormalities such as talking to people who arent there or saying the Koran while fingering a button in your hand. I just stay alert to everybody around me, just in case. And I do agree with you, open carry is better at crime control than concealed. But anyone carrying, concealed or otherwise, should be trained and practice, and that is not always the case. Training and SA are your best tools. There are no deadly and dangerous weapons, just deadly and dangerous people. Long live the 1st, 2nd, and 4th amendments!
With your logic we should ban cars at rush hour because we all know that there are pissed off people who aren't in a decent state of mind to be driving an automobile, right? I mean after all, how many people die in car accidents each year? Your logic is quite flawed and if someone has the permit to carry, it will be a rare circumstance that they shoot up Wally World.
If you go back and read my posts you will see that I never once said the word "BAN". Where did you come up with that? You are right, it would be rare but not unheard off. like the dude that shot up mcdonalds a few years back. If i was in there and I saw the scum bag walk in all nervous or something, carrying unconcealed and I was by the door and he was across the entire place and pulled his weapon and started shooting, I am going to exit and call 911. If he walks in near me , and I am carrying, I pull my gun when I have a chance and shoot the f-er. If you can't figure out how that logic works then you are illogical and I wish you luck. I own firearms and am all for the 2nd amendment. I am not arguing about the right to carry. I am all for it. I am a very observant person and if I see someone with a gun and I get a bad vibe I am leaving. You stay and be a tought guy. Have a nice gun fight. Hope you dont' shoot any innocent by-standers. As a matter of fact, pull 2 guns out and shoot with both hands like on tv. So your logic is quite scewed. Are you saying you would stay in the mcdonalds, without a gun? That is just stupid and assinine.

Then the ever popular "My sporty can outrun your big twin up to 120 MPH! Nyeh!"
(then the come-backs:
"Can not!"
"Can too!"
"Can not!"
"Can too!")
OH...almost forgot the Briggs and Stratton Vs. Tecumseh fights of my youth....LOL
I read that today in the N-J....pretty good spelling! LOL
Welcome to the Florida Crew. So...if I strap a fishing pole to the back of my bike, I can open carry? Just kidding (I don't fish...)
You should be more worried about someone driving a 3 ton deadly weapon and talking on a cell phone then someone with a gun on their hip, Im speaking statically of course.
This is clear that laws against open carry are an infringement on our rights. I have a CCW and carry concealed most of the time due to it being more secure.
Maybe we had more heros maybe countless lives could have been saved in many different scenarios like the Texas Libbys Cafeteria shootings or the Vagina Tech killings. Police are not here to protect you; they just clean up the mess.
A robber came into a Kinkos store here years ago. Pulled out a gun and demanded money. A person making copies at a machine behind the robber pulled his gun walked up behind the robber and shot them in the head at almost point blank range. The hero was an off duty police officer but does it really matter if it was or not?
