Well, we got up here in the Charleston area a week ago. I rode my bike and my wife and son took the F-150. Took 95 all the way to SC exit 53, then got on 17 towards Summerville. Nice ride, but roads got crappy once we hit SC. Except for the increased heat and higher humidity it's not much different than Florida. Unless you count gas being roughly 12-15 cents less a gallon than down in Florida - but Insurance is higher and I gotta start paying State Income Tax now!
I started work with Boeing on Friday, finished Orientation today, and move on to 10+ weeks of 787-specific training tomorrow.
If anyone gets up this way give me a yell. I'm about 10 miles from the Boeing plant / Charleston AFB / Charleston Airport. Bill
The Fl Crew expands! Glad to hear the trip up was uneventful for the most part. Hope ya can still make it back down for the Rally in November. That should prove to be a 'cool' ride!
Hope you can grow some roots with this one Bill. I know it has been a rough couple of years for you and I am glad to have met you. Give a holler when you are back down.
Gonna be down there in a few weeks to finalize some things on our house in St. Augustin. Not bringing the bike however.
Will try to make it to the rally, but is gonna depend on how busy I am at work.
Dave, thanks man. I really am hoping for the best. The job is interesting to this point, and I'm only into day 2 of training. Lots of great growth potential. MAN are those planes big up close!!! Bill
