This is funny, you can tell who hasn't rode with the Crew before.
I'd have to agree with ya on that one. Seriously, there are people in our crew who live to ride. If you dont know that then you never will.
All though dont get me wrong I do luv a good fashion show!!!
The only time I was up early was when we were out west. Something about the time zone helped my body "think" it was later than it actually was.
Sebring is only about 90 min from me, literally a short hop. It's just the early hour combined with other things that keeps me from going.
My husband keeps teasing me that the only way I'll make a Fl Crew ride is if I stay up all night, which is something I've done more times than I can count on two hands these past few months.
The only problem I have with that is I don't think it's very safe riding a motorcycle after pulling an all-nighter.
I'm REALLY looking forward to the Lake O ride. In preparation, I've been working on getting up earlier. Today I was up at 10:30, that's progress for me!

From Ocala, by way of Auburndale, it is a 4 hour ride to Sebring for me tomorrow. I will get up at 4:30, quickly shower, and ride out at 5:00 to make Sebring by 9:00. Ain't nuthin' but a ride. If I were riding by myself tomorrow to some other destination I would leave about the same time anyway.
I like to leave very early for several reasons:
I like to ride.
I get so excited the night before a ride I can't sleep very well anyway so I might as well leave early.
I love to watch the sun come up whilst putting down the road on my bike with some appropriate tunes playing.
I like to ride.
The earlier I leave, the longer I can ride in a day.
I have ridden locally so much that I am not missing any scenery that isn't already burned into my pea-sized brain.
I like to ride.
Some of my riding buddies live so far away I have to leave early in order to be able to ride with them.
My bike sounds meaner in the dark.
Have I mentioned I like to ride?
There are a ton more, but you get the general idea why I like to leave early.
Gave up on trying to ride with others. Most really aren't into it for the riding, or wrenching on their bikes. Most are in it for the fashion show at the rallies with their leather vest seeing who has with the most patches, most tatts, etc.
Hit me up anytime you wanna ride with someone who is in it for the riding. Oh, and be sure to put some crackers or jerky in your shirt pocket!
