I ride every weekend whether with other folks or just by myself. Since I live in south Florida between a large Lake and an ocean I ride a lot of the same roads every weekend. Riding preference is on a sliding scale and varies from rider to rider. I ride more than some and a lot less than others. So finding some one that matches your riding preference can be a challenge. You may have to ride by yourself until you find some folks the fit your style.
Like the Old Man that once rode a Suzuki says, "Just Ride"
My wife have no problem riding by ourselves. For instance this past weekend we enjoyed doing what we did and didn't watch the clock and figure out we had to get back at any given time.
So we ride when the mood hiys us and yes I like the friends riding along as well as their schedules permit.
Other than that I just ride.
Next weekend is the white springs azalea festival. We will probably go for ride that way to check things out.
When i get to your neck of the woods we can ride your roads as well.
I rode about 250 miles Sunday thru the everglades. Did at least 100+ miles and saw less than 20 cars during that time. My friend asked me what I did Sunday and when I told her the above, she asked if I rode with anyone. I told her, no alone. She then asked me very caringly "do you think you could be depressed?". Huh??? The complete opposite, its relaxing... She just doesn't get it.
Took off Sat morning at 6am and returned after dark.
Was pissed about the weather, so I headed west to get away from it.
It worked, only hit misting rain coming back into town.
