Anyone out there in the Sarasota/Bradenton areas know of any shops that can install exhaust etc? I'm sure I can get an installation done cheaper at a local shop than at the harley dealer, but not really sure. Thought I'd inquire. It's gonna be a V&H system when I do get it.
You have S&S customs in Palmetto just east of Downtown. Good guys. http://www.nothd.com/
You also have Dynoworks in Sarasota. Donny is more of a crotch rocket kind of guy but he knows Harleys and is a good tuner for Power commanders. http://www.dynoworks.com/
Precision Cycles in Sarasota On 301 almost to Downtown has been there forever and they are also good guys. Ronnie will bend over backwards to make sure you are happy. They are more Metric guys but can handle Harleys. http://www.precisioncycle.net/
If you are going to get a TTS controller you have to go to Docs in Mineola over off of 27 around Clairmont. http://www.docsperformancetuning.com/ Doc would be my first choice if you want your bike to be perfect. Other wise just take it to S&S or Dyno works.
Welcome to the Forum and the Florida crew by the way, hope to see you on a ride soon. I lived down in Bradenton for 11 years and it sure is a nice area where you are.
Exhaust is not that difficult man, do it yourself and save the cash for a trip or more fuel to ride. I'm sure there are people close to you who wouldn't mind helping you out if you need it.

Ha! I'm nowhere near mechanically enclined so it never went thru my head to put it on myself. That would save a good chunk of change that's for sure. What needs to be done for an install like that?
Mentioned it to my wife and she laughed.... well she should be a motivational speaker

Depends on what all you want to do. Some systems re-use some of the stock components, other bring their own stuff. Depending on the miles on the bike you may or may not want to replace gaskets.
For an exhaust it would be nice to have the bike on a jack, but it's not necessary.
A service manual would be the first thing to get, all the TQ values and what not are in there.
Do you just want slip-ons (very easy), will you be replacing the header, what tuning system, if any, will you be using, etc.
