Just wanted to drop a line to say I finally made it to Florida from Germany, and should have my bikes tomorrow; '09 Ultra (mine) and '11 Sporty (wife's). If anyone is in the Eglin AFB/Crestview area, I am game for riding as soon as I get the bikes.
Welcome to Florida. Some nice riding north and west of you. My brother lived in Cresview when he was in the Air Force and went back later as a civilian employee. We have a couple of guys in that area that post up from time to time. Keep your eye out for them.
Well got 1 of 2 bikes yesterday... I was told the Sporty crate was MIA. I was not a happy camper at that point, but later learned the crate was on it's way. Hopefully here by household goods date.
I took Blue out for a ride yesterday, laid down about 40 miles just in the local area, and I think I found some nice riding in the forest area which appears to be just across the street (Hwy 85). A lot of straight roads here which is much different than Germany, but with a road name like "Lost Boy" I can almost guarantee a good ride from time to time LOL. There are 2 things I can find for sure, home & gas, and the rest is just an adventure!
Welcome! The most curves you're gonna find in Florida are just tryin to skirt around the lakes. Happy to see ya'll gettin' settle right in... oh yeah, looks like ya may have caught one of them German cockroaches in your computer durin' the move. I can see him runnin' around your posts!
