I made the run from Panama City Beach to Apalachicola this past weekend on my 06 RK. I just wanted to take a moment to let you guys who are up here in the Panhandle know that this is really a sweet ride. In sight of the beach about 2/3 of the way and just a really nice ride. A few good places for adult beverages along the way and a fair amount of bikes to wave at. Stopped and had some really good seafood(soft shell crab and oysters)at the seafood festival. I tend to ride solo most times and just really enjoyed the day. I very much recommend this ride. RT about 3.5 hours drive time. After a couple beers and some really good tunes it was an all day trip

Glad you had a good safe ride. Been out that way a time or 2. Every so often someone will get to wanting some oysters so we ride to Boss Oysters in Apalachicola. Just a little further east of your route is the Big Bend Scenic Highway which is listed as one of Florida's Scenic Highways. Next time stretch it out a bit an take in some of that scenery as well.

I'm thinking about making this my "Friday Ride". If anybody has an interest in a major "Burger Run", check with me Thursday Night at Rally Central. I shouldn't be too hard to find...
I made the ride to Boss Oysters in Apalachicola, via Panama City a few weeks ago. Waited for a while in the bar at Boss and no service, I was on my way to Jacksonville so I walked out, my southern laid back attitude wasn't working at the moment. Went further further east to the route along the Big Bend Scenic Highway to Wakulla.Crawfordville, then up to Tallahassee and I-10 east to Jax.
