Off the bike for awhile

I was going to work Tuesday night, yes I had to work New Years Day, and as I made a right turn in a curve the rear wheel starting sliding. Foot Boards starting scraping and then I dummy upped and put my right foot down on the ground. 
Well the right saddle bag hit me in the ankle, rolled the ankle over and drug it along the ground. Good news is this stood the bike back up and I did not spill it. Bad news is I tore two ligaments in my right ankle very badly. Ankle is about the size of a softball, and a real ugly black and blue color. Doctor says it will take about 12 weeks to heal completely. Hopefully I will be able to get back on the bike before then, but will have to wait and see. Any way looks like I will not be going on any rides real soon. I will start back as soon as I can. Y'all keep them rolling and I will catch up to you soon.

Sorry to hear that! I badly turned my left ankle about 12 years ago and did some ligament damage. Took a LONG time to heal. I don't think I walked normally for over a year. Doc said I would have been much better off if I had broke it.

Welcome to the land of the limper's. So sorry to hear about this as I know what its like. Glad it was not worse and you were able to save the bike. Prayers sent for a speedy and full recovery.

Wow Tom...hate to hear about this. Just be sure to listen to your doctor. Take care and I hope to ride again with you this year.
