Roger,
Read this post... Ok, read it again... And again... Any Questions?
If you're riding I-75, you can exit at Golden Gate Parkway, go west to 41. Then go South about 2 miles. In Naples, Avenues go East-to-West, and 41 is running North-to-South at that point. 5th Avenue SOUTH is just before 41 starts turning towards the east. 5th Ave has an upscale, trendy vibe like LasOlas or Downtown Delray if you're West of 41, and just East of 41 is "Tin City", an inland waterfront spot that might be an option if parking becomes impossible. Call me if you have any questions.
Did I mention the Sunsets??? (hate to say, but better than Key West)
Roger That.
I'll scout the area tomorrow and set up a perimeter, lol. Maybe even find a room in the vicinity....if I'm lucky!
Great meeting and riding with you guys! We even got the straggler to his exit without getting run over. That guy was all over the road fighting the wind with all those bags on the bike.
Lets do it again soon!
It was obvious that he was either really worn out and beat up from the cross winds.......
or really inexperienced!
His right saddlebag wasn't secured very well and the cover was flapping open in the wind. His T-bag was leaning to the right and he kept looking down at his primary case area where the bracket broke while riding 70 mph and weaving all over the lane. I thought he was going to dump the bike!
He pulled out of the center lane that he and I were riding in to the right lane as soon as 75 gets wider before we got to the Sawgrass.......right at the same time an impatient SUV that was behind us darted into the right lane to pass. The SUV came about a foot from rear ending that guy on the Wide Glide.
Hope he made it to his destination in one piece!!!!

Can you believe that dude was out riding with no tools at all? Not even an allen wrench? Glad we could help him.
Did you see that BUCKET in the road? I saw it in the lane next to us. But right as we went by, it came across our lane. That's when DWG dude swerved, I saw him in my mirror. It looked like he came damn-close to that mini-van!

Yeah, forgot about the bucket, lol. I almost hit that bucket! That was a Suburban that came about a foot from hitting him. He acted like he didn't even see the SUV!
I thought it was nice of us to help him get back on the road, but once he was running and we could see how slow he was we probably should have left him. He was so slow I thought we would all get run over by trucks and I think we pissed off a lot of car drivers.
Yeh that bucket was a bit scary. Wasn't sure which way it would roll even after swerving to avoid it.
Glad Y'all had a Good Ride .. Mine starts tomorrow heading back home .. At least the first 300 will be fun anyway .. Then on the Super Slab with the Hammer Down ..

Right behind you Jay. We are in Mustang OK for the night head to Robbers Cave and the Talimena Trail tomorrow. Stay safe.
Cross winds have been pretty bad last couple of days. Took a (new) date for a ride to the tiki hut in Clewiston late yesterday afternoon. When we arrived she asked if its always that windy... Said she felt like she aged 10 years. That was her first motorcycle trip and she logged 150 miles.... Quite a trooper,!
