As far as going up US19, leaving at 5-6am on a Sat. shouldn't give me any troubles, I'm trying to stay away from highway travel. Still not strong enough to endure highway speeds on the bike for extended periods of time.

To quote HDRick, "the most dangerous thing a rider will ever do is ride in a group" and I can agree with him. I recently put this MSF video on a different thread but it is good information. It is a good 10 minute watch and better if you can find a class or group that you can see the whole MSF video. It will give you information that will keep you from getting hurt or hurting someone else.
Never be embarrassed to let the Road Captain (Rider in Front-In charge) know your skill level and always ride your own ride. The Sweep (Rider in back-experienced) will keep an eye out for you.

Pretty much any of us on here will not push you. We have had our share of accidents and no one wants another one. Feel free to post up a ride and folks will ride. Does not have to be a 400 mile ride either. 395 is plenty...JK.
