Drove to V Twin Cycle the other day. They are pretty close to my shop.
I spoke to the owner there and got a descent vibe from him. I am going to try and get there this Saturday to drop it off.
I will keep you guys posted.

Chopper's Shop in WPB - I know a little far but one of the best and HONEST Harley certified mechanics I have ever dealt with. Always professional and just damn good at what he does.

well,
I got it back the other day. Took a little longer than I expected, but it was worth the wait. Turned out the last shop that installed the new SE compensator didn't do it right.
Gabe at V Twin City did a great job. rode a couple hundred miles today and seems like all my noises and crunching sounds are gone.
THEY EVEN DETAILED THE BIKE FOR ME
Very happy with the service, the labor rate and people at V Twin City .
see ya on the road..

hey this thread is all locals... lets all catch up and ride one day! (Lake Worth here)
I go to Cafe 27 most Sunday afternoons (need to change that to mornings now due to summer weather), would be nice to meet some fellow forum members.
UKLauren I've done a lot of mods since we last met, one of these days I would look forward to seeing you again to compare rides. Though you will no doubt give me more ideas for mods when I see your tricked out Springer!
Well,
my motor sounds like it's chewing on rocks. I have no desire or time to attempt to open it myself and go exploring.
I just got it back from a local shop where they replaced my inner primary bearing and compensator. The clunking noise is gone, but now I hear lots going on in the bottom of the engine.
Just for giggles, I called Harley in sunrise. I know I know, stupid move.
I asked if I needed crank bearings what is their labor rate.
I never should have bothered. about 2000-2500 for labor. Said it was about a 20-25 hour job. WTF ?
Anyway, I need to find someone who knows what they are doing that isn't going to try to pay off his house with this job.
Any ideas or experiences ?
Dave
I am just north of you and have a great INDY here and maybe would be alot closer..You might want to give him a call....I got lucky and stubbled on him when my old INDY closed due to health issues.....I live right around the corner from him, so I could possibly assist maybe in some way if you so choose to.....
