Is the turn pike and US1 always bumper to bumper going south on the weekends? Out for a nice ride this weekend till about 2 miles from fl city then turned into a traffic nightmare. Was able by using the shoulder to get to Key Largo/ Gilbert's last resort but that was it for me. Ended up turning around after 3 pitchers of water and a beer. The rain actually felt good riding the turn pike back to Plantation.

No it's not usually that bad. Must have been an accident or traffic light problem as all the traffic merges at Florida City. And yeah...it was nasty humid and hot today! Sounds like you had a nice ride.

Actually, Sundays northbound sucks as every-other vehicle seems to be towing a boat and is leaving the Keys for the work-week ahead.

I don't know about us 1 but there was an accident on the turnpike an caribean, so every one was diverting to US 1 . I stayed on the turnpike. Once past the accident it was normal traffic to the keys

Maybe that was it. Also I noticed that people cannot merge at the passing lanes. Slow down to a crawl at all passing lanes because the cars wont let the boats merge back in. Overall nice ride. Finally done with the break in on the flhx. Now hopefully the rains and life holds off so it does not take me another 2 months to get the other 500. Stage 1 parts are calling my name. Cannot wait to ride with some of you.
