Yep, I've seen people wave at rally's that just gets ridiculous.
I agree 100%
Rally's, heavy traffic, night time (don't laugh I've seen it a couple times) and other dangerous times = no wave. We just have to use common sense.
I don't wave at Harley riders or sport bike riders or Goldwing riders or jap cruiser riders. I DO wave at kids on bicycles that wave at me. I remember when I was a kid on a bicycle pedaling down the street with playing cards in my spokes and a guy on a big full dressed Harley waved at me. It made my day and I dreamed that some day I would own one of those big rumbling beasts. Dreams do come true!
I don't have a bike right now but when I get another I'll wave if they don't I won't worry about it. If they wave I'll wave back.
I'm not going to worry about what bike they ride or clothing they wear etc. or anything else about them I've got better things to do with my mind & heart then store up poison in them trying to think of everything I could be hating..
Man enjoy the day you only live so long you know.
The OP might have been joking & that's OK but these are my thoughts on the subject.

figures.......same thing happened to me......I did the air horn signal at a big 'ol truck when i was a kid.....been driving them ever since.
What is the proper wave to other bikers. I have seen so many styles. How many Harley riders wave to Japanese and other Euro bikes. Im not being a smart *** and I am not a newbie.

I've seen so many riders of Japanese fake Harleys do the "wanabe-cool low two-finger wave" though that I've soured on it, and now I just do a raised-hand happy wave.
Scroo 'em if they don't like it.
