Morning all.

Spent the yesrterday at the boat dealer, seems the relay for the tilt and trim burnt out and of course they don't have one in stock.
At least it's covered by warranty, it's a $258 part.

I think the Trask is a turbo system?
Always liked trubo'ing over high HP normally aspirated motors, parts seem to last a lot longer.

A Wyoming Highway Patrol officer stops a Harley for traveling faster than the posted speed limit, so he asks the biker his name.
"Fred," he replies.
"Fred what?" the officer asks.
"Just Fred," the man responds.

The officer is in a good mood and thinks he might just give the biker a break, and write him out a warning instead of a ticket.
The officer then presses him for the last name.
The man tells him that he used to have a last name but lost it.
The officer thinks that he has a nut case on his hands but plays along with it. "Tell me, Fred, how did you lose your last name?"

The biker replies, "It's a long story, so stay with me. I was born Fred Johnson, from Rock Springs, Wyoming. I studied hard and got good grades. When I got older, I realized that I wanted to be a doctor. I went through college, medical school, internship, residency, and finally got my degree, so I was Fred Johnson, MD.

"After a while I got bored being a doctor, so I decided to go back to school. Dentistry was my dream! Got all the way through School, got my degree, so then I was Fred Johnson, MD, DDS.

"Got bored doing dentistry, so I started fooling around with my assistant and she gave me VD, so now I was Fred Johnson, MD, DDS, with VD.

"Well, the ADA found out about the VD, so they took away my DDS. Then I was Fred Johnson, MD, with VD. Then the AMA found out about the ADA taking away my DDS because of the VD, so they took away my MD leaving me as Fred Johnson with VD.

Then the VD took away my 'Johnson', so now, I'm, Just Fred."
The officer walked away in tears, laughing.....

He's looking for longevity and puts a lot of miles on his bike.
You can send me a PM if you want
Lots of parts wont like that power like that! Even my 124"er is a bit much for the belt. A chain is the way to go. The next belt I brake I will go with a chain considering the cost of the belt. $140 I thing it is now. And if he does break one do not go aftermarket on the belt!

Lou, He's had his bike for less than a month and we went to Street Vibrations and we met a guy with a Trask setup on his bike. He was running the G28, said it was around 300hp... We all got on the freeway together and when he hit the throttle it was as if you were standing on the shore as a drag boat took off.

Ridiculous. he was running a chain. But he also said the bike was trouble free because the turbo didn't require a high compression engine which made the drive train last longer. I don't know anything about turbos and bikes, they look cool as hell i can tell you that much.
Trask makes them for the M8 as well. This is the one he's purchasing, they Fury GT22.

Drag raced bikes for a bunch of years and found turbo's by far were easier on motors.
The waste gate if used, can vary boost so you run on the street or strip, using either C116 or pump gas.
Not sure what gas their using on the strip or high boost but C116 was what we used and I ran about 32# of boost on my strip only bike.

These were not Harleys btw

You will find the weaker parts as boost goes up, do it right and replace whatever is needed before you puke oil all over the road, or go into a tank slapper because the frame can't handle the power or can't stop because the brakes were designed for street riding with a bike with far less power.
I can't help ya with that but I'm sure others can.

Not sure what's needed for a HD motor to live with 300hp but I doubt much of anything stock would handle it on my 103 motor.

Sounds like fun though.

Morning (I think) Woods. Got in at 3 AM today, having some coffee, might switch to something more potent.
