I don't wave anymore, there here too many people waving...I'm not in a parade and I dont wave when I'm in my car either.

I've had the same experience. On my Yamaha, 1 in 10 HD riders wave. On my HD 9+ in 10 wave.

I'm only tempted not to wave when a scooter does the wave... but I smile and wave anyway.

I don't typically wave unless waved at though. Like mentioned above, I don't know the person. The exceptions are in the winter when there are only hearty souls out, or at the crack of Spring in celebration of the start of riding season. Then it just seems appropriate to me.

I have people in cages wave at me. Don't know why, maybe something is trying to fall off of the scooter.
