I see nothing wrong with it. If he likes it then so be it. Thats part of what makes bikers , is there ability to make the bike their own, no matter how F'd up it might be..
and I like the alligator bikes.

I just saw a bunch of those full-length (for 2-up seats) sheepskin and fur covers on various bikes in Sturgis last week.
They're not just good for cold weather, but for hot weather too... they keep an air cushion between your a** and the leather, either insulating in the cold or reducing sweat in the heat. But they do get wet in a rainstorm! To each their own.
