They are pretty much in the process of closing every major plant in this area, and sending people home without a job ... no bailout.

Just Like individuals ... they should plan for economic downturns and money shortages.

HELL NO! haven't you been watching the news? some of these bailed out executives are getting huge bonuses - they all ought to join Madoff in adjoining cells!

that's what we get with the 'give-away' mentality of OUR government.

I think that capitalism can only thrive when people and companies are accountable for their decisions. Bailouts just weaken the system.

Well let me see. If WE vote no, and the MOCO goes "belly up", then WE would never have any new Harleys to ride around on. While all of time, those Fat Cat Bankers, that we all helped bail out allready, fly all over the world in their jets "laughing all the way to the bank". That would be a REALLY smart move now wouldn't it?

no, I was smart enough to not overextend myself, live within my means, nobody would bail me out. Greedy corp, more more more, bigger bigger bigger all on a luxary item. First thing to go. Market is saturated resale suffers, what about there loyal customer base, the resale value goes down, because there is so many on the road we keep our bikes longer. Down size make owning a harley mean something. Remember when you wanted a new bike years ago, you order it the year before. Your trade was worth more because people didn't want to wait a year so would pay the big bucks. Why would anyone want to buy a used bike now, on a $20,000 bike buy used save $1500-$2000 for that difference I'd buy a new one, unless I had to wait a year. Ok rant over,

Negatory pig pen. Those who feel a company should be "bailed out" are more than welcome to send them some of THEIR money. Not mine. The Government takes too much of MY money as it is for things I don't believe in.

How about bailouts for the AMERICAN people. When we have more money, we spend, In turn boosting the corporations they are giving money too now.

Big Business bailouts are bullshit... Lets bailout this big business so the CEO can get his mega-bonus... GFY!!!

I'd have voted no on any bailout. I believe the free market system should be allowed to work at some level. I know it's a complex thing what with tariffs, protectionism, employment, and etc, but if a company can't survive in it's core market it should be allowed to declare bankruptcy and attempt to correct itself. If it's products are so undesirable it can't be restructured than it should be liquidated. Paradigms and business models are cyclical. New businesses and technologies are always being introduced and old ones are dying. It's the order of life.
