After I sold my '94 Wide-Glide, I went to the dealer to buy a new, '07 Wide-Glide. Didn`t say anything about having been on one for 40 years. Sales guy starts his spiel tryin' to sell me on the RK`s, UC`s and all the others. Told him I already knew what bike I wanted and took him over to the WG I had decided on. Told him I`d pay cash for it and to make out the paper work. Ask me if I wanted to ride it to try it out and I told him no I know how they ride. After all that was done they did their thing about parkin' it under the bell and all that crap. Told him I wasn`t ringin' no dam bell. My wife brought in my Old Leather Vest with 30 year old bug splatters on it that I`ve been wearin`forever, and my scratche and gouged helmet. The guy asks me if I want any extra goodies, Chrome Crap, for it. I told him I knew what I was gonna do to it and I`d do it myself. He took it out of the store and I rode off. I`m sure he was dissappointed that I didn`t want to play the 'Make it Mine' with all the Harley Branded crap they carry.
i decided what i was wanting and looking for in a bike... i called around when a place said they had what i wanted at an agreeable price i got my dad to drive there and get it for me (i had some schedule issues at work) i just finally went to the dealership for my first time 3 weeks ago after owning the bike 4 months... still dont own any motoco cloths cept an OLD pair of chaps i like i got about 9 years ago cause they had a fancy out door sale back then. really the people what do that crack me up. but then again i dont buy cloths ever...
and if you really want something wrong ask my sister about when i took her to wrestling practice (she was in it not me) and i drove her there on my motorcycle wearing just my trench coat and boxers (was barefoot as well)... her friends though i was crazy when they realized it, apparently the coach noticed and asked her about it later as i came back to pick her up.
