Not so much on my HD but I wore it constantly on my sport bikes. I would load it full of ice and water. I also wore a full face helmet and the hose fit easily under it when I lifted it to my mouth. Well worh the small investment.
I've used them on my mountain bikes, and I've seen a fair number of BMW riders wearing them (some of the riding jackets they sport even have built-in camelback pockets on the back....and we all know that a great many BMW riders pride themselves on covering more road miles per day than any other group....so they don't like to stop for anything but fuel if they can help it).
Personally, I enjoy occasionally stopping, looking around, having a drink of water or coffee, taking a leisurely ****, and stretching my old legs. Maybe I'd find my camelbacks more useful if I rode in extremely hot areas all the time.
