I looked into it at one time and this what I was politely told by who I found out later was a lietenant for a group who will remain nameless. As long as your club logo is on a single patch, no top rocker, no bottom rocker and there's no MC anywhere on the vest you can do so unchallenged. Anything else and it needs to go thru a certain 'organization'.
As many post as you have. You didn't expect to see the monkeys fall out of the tree on this? Club threads are redundant and really insightful to who actually leaves the couch. Two types of clubs. One is a riders club and the other is a motorcycle club. Riders clubs usually have no prospecting and keep their patches unterritorial. Motorcycle clubs have for the most part three piece patches and prospect. I would just form a riders club if it was just friends. No one likes snitches so why state the obvious?

I think your question has been answered. Now you want to challenge people to a pissing contest ? There's a word for folks that do that, but I can't seem to recall what it is. I'm sure someone will remember it though.

Interesting. The group of guys I know with a club have a single large patch with a rocker above and below that displays the name of the club. No "MC". Anywhere. I was assuming that they are considered what are called a "riders club". Which is good to me, since I want nothing to do with any shady side of society. They want me to join now that I got my bike, but I'm still thinking about it and trying to learn more about the implications. As far as I can tell, it's just a bunch of guys who like to ride and most of which are vets.
