But that didn't help. So I waited until there was a broken line and passed him. While doing so I thought that it would be funny to make like a pistol with my left hand and reach over and go bang at him. Then I passed him and forgot about him, until I looked in my rearview mirror and saw that the goof was about 2 inches off my back fender.
I immediately pulled off to the side of the road and waved at him to pull over,(I was pretty pissed off) but he just kept going so I pulled in and followed him, and what do you know after a few minutes we came up to a red light.
Well I got off the bike, walked up to the car and tried the door handle, he didn't have it locked so I opened it and gave him a left to the head, then he said something to me that I couldn't hear due to wearing ear plugs and a full face helmet, so I told him in just a few words what I would do to him if he ever tailgated me again....Then I gave him another left, and do you know, it just felt sooo good that I gave him 2 rights as well and then I closed his door and walked back to my bike.
End of story.
Maybe I was just lucky to get away with it. And until then it had been several years since I had wacked anyone.
But you know I think you guys are right, it's all that pent up rageHa Ha

Ya force open someone's car door and ya stand an excellent chance of being greeted with a few rounds from a concealed weapon. Who would be satisfied then?

My 80 year old Father who still works and myself went to pick up a boat I was buying. He rode along since we still spend lots of time together fishing and hunting. Plus I buy lunch. When we got there and I proceeded to do the paper work after inspecting the boat. The owner of the boat asked about payment. I replied cash. He said you have that much cash on you? I replied yes, why? He then stated that he would be afraid to meet someone he didn't know with that much cash. My Daddy was listening and watching all this smiling. He then spoke up and asked the seller if he had a gun? Seller said no. Daddy told him that the seller was the only unarmed sob at this deal. I couldn't help but smile. Daddy also then said if someone wants to take this money that's okay---he's been bored lately anyway. Tough old man. I do wish he would get them cataracts fixed---I am sometimes afraid he might be aiming by sound. People don't wonder why I am the way I am after meeting him. Same thing happened two motorcycles ago. When I pulled out the cash the seller got nervous about having that much cash. Hell, I offered to escort him to the bank. I don't take checks and I do look at the cash closely.

This happened at Ali and Joe Frazier's first fight Outside the Garden, 76-year-old former champ Jack Dempsey knocked out two thugs who tried to mug him.

Hmm guess that old man wasn't so helpless after all

I agree with saying something to the guy. I don't agree in beating someone up. I'm glad you didn't have any further issue. Just think if someone saw this and called the police and had you arrested. I've done some silly things in my younger days. Not going to judge you.

I have wanted to do that to some people. Being around for my family is more important. Be safe out there.

like my little ole Dad used to tell me... a street fight isn't meant to be a competition. don't fight fair, use whatever it takes to win.

reminds me of that axiom - don't bring a knife to a gun fight.

Kinda like that old army adage:

If you find yourself in a fair fight, you planned the attack wrong!
