No doubt but saying all are bad boys is paramount to saying all catholic priests are pedophiles , same difference . Not ALL are in either group are bad apples and government issued statics are just like anything else put out by the government or the media it's spun to meet an agenda or shed whatever degree of light on something that was desired to have a good or bad effect . How else are they going to lead public opinion the direction they want it to go ?

I personally know a large group of 1%ers both patched and retired who are book thumping born again Christian's , that kinda blows the whole everyone is a criminal thing straight out the window by it's lonesome and they are all over the country .

Not arguing either way but to add a little something to think about as far as the born again Christian thing, MANY Hispanic gang members in the southern California area are sitting in a Catholic church pew every Sunday. Some people are very good at separating their personal beliefs from what they consider to be their job or duty.

Big difference between a life long multi generational ethnic tradition and an individuals personal experience . Way ahead of you on that one I grew up in a very Italian neighborhood , lot didn't speak english but everyone knew who the local godfather was & same deal dirty as it got but weekly church and never cussed in front of their mothers .

I have two friends that are patched members of OMC's. One is a smaller club that supports a larger one, and the other is retired from a well known international club (I won't name names or colors). They are both clean cut (have some tats, but everyone does now) family guys. I don't know what they do with their clubs, and I don't ask. They are not what you see on SOA though. One of the guys has always been a phone call away anytime I have needed any help, so I consider him a good guy. I don't think you can paint any member or an organization with the same brush. My.02

If you belong to a club or support a club that supports it self with illegal activities (extortion, loan sharking, prostitution, drug dealing) like the HA, Banditos, etc. you fit the dictionary definition of a 1%er and are a burden to society. You also don't deserve anyone's "respect" and won't be getting mine. BTW fear for your personal safety is not "respect" for the person or group threatening it. You can say these clubs do nothing illegal or it's just a few bad apples but over 25% of HA are currently incarcerated in my country and the majority have a criminal history, and there are too many chapter leaders serving life to argue this is not the predominate culture of these clubs. If you still support them, what does that say about you?
I cant understand why many people cant read beyond the surface and just have to paint 1% or badass biker all over everything.
No one is suggesting that Barger and his Brothers were well behaved boyscouts, but if you strip away all the hype and behavior, you find there is a common underlying set of values. Values that are far more common in society in general than most would admit, but unfortunately not practiced anywhere near as much.

Being loyal to your friends/brothers, showing respect where it is due, protecting yourself and yours, and having the conviction to stand up for what you believe in and follow through are not criminal traits.
These are values that bond MC members, they are values that Marines and all other military outfits hold close, they are values that many very fine organizations such as LEO's and fire brigades operate with.

They are values that hold families, blood or otherwise, together.
