Those dust devils aren't much fun to get hit by. Hurts what little exposed skin I have and gets dirt in my face. FF helmets don't do much, it blows in from the bottom.
And yeah... Squids... Hehe. I'm just a little ol' civilian now so it doesn't matter anymore.
Yesterday when I was out riding I came up on a slow group of cars on a back country road. There was a sport bike in front of me just blipping the throttle and moving up like he was going to pass. Sure enough, he pops out in the left lane, pulls a wheelie and proceeds to pass six cars doing his wheelie. Off to his left was a field that was just plowed. I noticed a dirt devil twirling through the field and heading toward the road. Sport bike is still in wheelie mode as this dirt devil is almost on him. He puts the bike down to finish his pass and starts to rock left and right as that dirt devil hit him. I kind of wanted to see what it would look like if he had been in full wheelie mode with that wind hitting him....but I guess I will have to wait....that is if he is still alive for another ride.
Think of the fun this boy will have bragging to his bretheren how he handily spanked another Harley Davidson even doing a wheelie. That is the only way these boys can enjoy their crotch rockets or so it seems.
did you manage to work your way thru the slow group of cars one at a time...or were you able to drop down a couple of gears and creep by the whole group at one time? most harleys are only able to get their wheel up when they hit a speed bump too fast at the shopping mall--or they have it up on a jack washing and waxing it.
Not true see the link posted a few back. Some Harleys can wheelie all day.
