I am only 50 miles west of Thomasville. Winter is not quite as hot as summer.LOL In 59 years I have only seen snow 2 times down here. I can almost guarantee some good riding weather. If its cool there just head south and if it is warm try the north GA mountains. Daytona just about 4 hours east and Panama City just 2 hours south west. Also some neat fishing villages just south of there near Perry FL.
Thanks for all the info guys. I'm going to go ahead and plan on bringing the bike on the trip. Looking forward getting to see Georgia. I've never been.
Surprise, AZ...Got an old friend out there that owns a drag strip if he is still alive, we used to drive out from LA and bracket race at his track.
As others have said no telling on the winter months down here but most likely you can gets some riding in that far down.
Best to just keep an eye out and see what it is closer to your trip.
Hard driving from your site is 3+ days, with a trailer maybe 4, and one and a half days across TX without any weather problems.
You got a straight shot right across I-10 though. Beautiful country but a boring *** ride on the interstate.
Not as wide open and easy to see where you're going and where you been back here and lots more traffic on the road per square mile so a lid might be a good choice no matter what the state law (just my humble opinion speaking from riding experience in both locations). Pretty flat down in South GA but some good riding just the same, would have to come north 4-5 hours for mountain twisties if that is what you're looking for.
If the drag strip is Speed World then its still here. Not sure if its your friend that owns it still. I haven't been out there in about 2 years but a buddy of mine throws events out there from time to time.
As far as the helmets go I think you're right. I think you guys have a lot more critters running around too. Whether its the law or not I would probably grab a lid anyway.

That wasn't the name way back when but he was in process of making some changes. Dude had a 99 year lease from the Indians that own the property. Neat place either way.
I forgot to mention , while in Thomasville be sure to eat at the farmers market restaurant for some of the best southern food in the area. Turnip greens, black eyed peas, fried chicken and pecan pie for desert. Dont forget the sweet tea. emmmm emmmm emmmm.

Awesome. Definitely will do that. Any other must see or must do things in that neck of the woods? Im only going to be there for 2 weeks but I'm sure there will be some down time while my wife visits with her family that I can get in some riding.
My step daughter wants to go to Savannah GA too while we are out there so we might end up that direction too at some point.
