New Hampshire did not have the helmet law come up, but Maine did. It was shot down. You do not need a helmet in Maine or New Hampshire.

If maybe you are talking about Missouri. The law passed thru the state legislature and is laying on the Governor's desk, waiting for his signature or not. There have been some dumb asses riding around without helmets telling all that would listen to their BS that the law passed and they didn't need a helmet. Well the highway patrol, will issue tickets starting last Monday to anyone they catch riding with out a helmet. The law hasn't been changed yet!

I really think he is going to let it lay until July 13th, and then it will become law regardless if he signs it or not. He did state to the FORR chairman that if it was a clean bill then he would not veto it. Well it is pretty clean since it is attached to the compartive fault law, to stop the insurance companies denying claims just because you were on a motorcycle.

As long as the Governor is taking on this, he will probably let it die on his desk. Even if he signs, it wont go into effect until August 28th. Here is a link to SB202.
