Default Cable length for apes

I just ordered 14 inch twin peaks bagger apes from la choppers. There going on my 2013 ultra limited, I'm wondering what length of cables have others used with same bars or comparable size bars.
Thanks for the input.

I did 16" Carlini's a couple of years ago (which are closer to 17") and I ran +8" on cables and brake line and +12" on the electrical. You can subtract the difference and it will work fine.

+6 worked well for me when I installed 13" Prime Apes.

I did 14" Gangsters and like an idiot used someone else's measurements and ordered +8. Can you guess what happened next? I had to return them, eat $50 and wait a few more days for my +12's to come in.

Do yourself a favor; mount your bars, measure then order your cables.

How could you possibly need +12 on 14" bars? Stock bar height is 8". The difference is only 6"s on your 14" bars. IF you ordered a +8 for YOUR bike you should've been perfect. I'm guessing the one you ordered wasn't for your bike is why it wasn't long enough.

I have a Night Train; went from the stock drag bars to Gangsters. The +12 worked perfect. Just enough slack in them.

Thanks for the replies. I'm wanting to use the Barnett cables, I like there stealth ones. I've used kits before and they were too long. I was hoping someone has used these bars and I could use there info so I can put the bars on and finish the job rather then mount bars measure then wait for cables.. But maybe that's the best way to go to get the right length cables
