Put them at what your manual says for your bike. And it's surely not 45. I just replace my front and it had a long life. I ran book at 30. It appeared to cup a little but I think that it was just a little squiggle were the tread slots stopped that created it. I could never tell any problem and I have seen many others say this about 880 Marathons. It was smooth and true for it whole life. I could tell it was a little harder then a 402 Dunlop since it squeaked on my slick garage floor. It lasted apx 5K longer then my first two 402's. Don't expect miracles. And what you gain in mileage, you lose in grip, so be careful if you push the edge like some crazies here talk about.

If you are running the reinforced 888 on rear, 45 lbs, on the front I run 39 psi. I am happy with the 888 on the rear, hate the 888 on the front. Roughest ride on the front of any tire I have owned. Feels like there is 50 lbs of air in it.

When I wear out my 888 on the front of my Heritage, I will install a Dunlop 402 back on. Much better ride and more grip. The 888 on the rear will be replaced by a 888, good wear, ok ride and looks like 30% more miles then the OEM Dunlop.

Whew, glad to know that. I thought it was just me! Just put them on last week and thought they were overfilled, harsh ride, stick like glue, but harsh.

Give the michelin commander 2 a try on the front. Im pretty happy with my mc2 way better the stock dunlop. Hopefully the mileage will be comparable
