Hi
Weird thing today. Driving on the way to work, doing about 30 and not shifting, and the bike slowed down, engine light came on and I couldn't accelerate. I could do about 10mph max. I was a few blocks from work so I limped to the parking lot. I could shift but not accelerate. Get to the parking lot and compression is coming out of both pipes. I turn the bike off. I start it up, engine light turns off, and it was running fine. Took it around the block and everything worked fine. Went thru the RPM range up to 4000 no problem. Parked it and turned it off. Started it again and took it around the block again. No problem.
Have your dealer check the codes, sometimes when you go forward on your throttle that will happen but that's for the cylinder shot down in hot weather. When you turn it off it resets. The dealer should not charge just to check the codes.
Good luck
Yep, that's the one. The pins can lose contact and corrode...elec grease gives a more water-tight connection. Also, check your bike to see if it threw a code...

There's a Tech Bulletin out about this. Should be able to find it on this forum or Google it. If you still can't find it pm me and l'll send it to you. Also, mentioned in maintenance manual in "code" section.
