I saw this in another thread and thought it would work out pretty good. I ordered in on Monday and it was on my doorstep on Wednesday. Took about 30 minutes to install and works just fine. I have the H-D oil cooler on the bike but this adapter just fits in right where the oil filter used to be.
The utility of it is to make changing oil a much cleaner job. The oil filter can be precharged before installation.
SafetyMan, why wipe up oil....... use the Harley oil filter funnel properly and don't spill a drop. It took a few attempts for me to learn how to properly use the funnel, but it does work.

I've tried that oil tray thing and ya still get oil running out onto the table or floor. You would think that Harley would have fixed this long ago, but just like everything else, they leave that to aftermarket.

I don't change my oil on the jiffystand... I have mine up on the lift, and the HD filter funnel doesn't work well level. I bought one the first time I saw one in a dealer, but make as much mess with it as without.
I've tried every method mentioned and then some, and found it easiest for me to take a rag to it when done.
