i was wondering. how do you tell if you are running fatter now after adding V&H fuel pack or your pc3 or sert?
from what i am hearing and i believe the 07s are hotter. i had the bike during the colder days in florida. well now its getting warmer, about 80 something today. i did add kuraykan heat shields
and let me tell you that really helped alot. as soon as i pay off my honeymoon i took last week in florida keys. it was 84 degress average. i am getting true duels. sitting in traffic it still gets hot.
i stop to think how hot it would be if it was stock. just wondering how do you really tell if adding the stuff i did helps. i dont really check the gas milage a lot cause a lot of my riding is in the city stop and go. i do know i get about 165 to 180 miles per tank.
Big air cooled twins get hot no mater if you have a perfect tuned one or not. It wont get as hot as a stocker but whoever told you they run cool was wrong. Check your right pipe for a grey color or your plugs for a light grey or tan or anything but super white color and youre ok.
