I vented my head breather tubes to an element attached to the back side of my stock Ac backplate. After 4500 or so miles I noticed a few drops of oil on the cam chest cover. Took ac apart to have a look, and found this brown goo in the rear cylinder vent tube. It was nearly blocked with it. Thoughts ? I will now vent it to atmosphere.
The brown goo is oil, gases, and condensation ? Help...I need some answers!
My spin at a complete home made setup. Made my own breather bolts as didnt want to drill my Big Sucker intake and no one had long enough breather bolts. I have the luxury of space to hide under stock cover as I enjoy the stock look. Turned out better than expected. Im choosing not to use filter on the end. Can feel the air moving out the tube easily so its doing its job. Depending on the residue of oil on frame rail, may have to rethink exit angle or cut tubing with angle at end to direct downward.
Sure would be nice if DK Customs made some of these type of breather bolts for the big sucker for those who don't want to drill into them. Would make this modification even simpler. How about it DK???

Yes I think thats what it is. I see the same colour stuff at a loose connection to the breather filter.
"Anybody else found some of this brown goo in their breather system?"
That's what you're supposed to find in your system. I have a clear liquid at the bottom of my catch can but if I squeeze a paper towel on the sponge its brown crap
I guess what I was shocked to see was one breather line blocked, or close to it, with the brown sludge. Never expected that to happen. I' ll be checking it every month from now on.
