Hey guys was at the church parking lot practicing for my up comming motor jock test at the department. Draggin floor board and full lock turns, and other test movements.I noticed that my right floor board on the brake side had started to move up and down in the rear.
Got to the house and during further looking into it noticed that where the blk floor board mounts go into the square flange on the frame and bolt up. There is a large weld in the front by the down tube and then at the rear it has a cheesey single spot weld, Well guess what it broke causing the whole board on the rear to move and not be solid mounted. I've got it moved back out into the right position and now looking into a welding shop to help weld it up. Just wondering if you guys might of had this happen to your bike or what ??? solution you might have done??? Help is needed!!! Will post a photo later of damage.
Are you saying that you snapped the flat plate loose from the frame tube?
I know that sometimes, when the rear board bracket hits, entering a turn "semi-agressive" that it can unweight (high center) the rear end. That's gotta be some serious force, so it's really not surprising.... ESPICALLY the way YOU GUYS ride! [8D]
I scrape but not to the extent that has broken a weld. That would be considered "pimp" ride'n skillz in the hood. I scrape often but it has not effected the weld. The expectation of LEO MC riding is greater than most civilians have ever taken their bikes so it doesn't suprise me that it happened during training. (please post training skills coarse info.)

I have almost gone down doing this in a right hand corner. Lifts the back wheel right off the ground.
Yeah on the front floor board mount the rear only has a single spot weld. What a crappy design from the factory. The front is fully welded into the downtube. Don't know why they didn't box in the rear like the front. Posting pic up stand by. Oh this by the way is my personal bike right now the department has KZ 1000's.
Heres a few of the rear spot weld after being bent into place still broken pics 1-3 and the pic 4 is a over all shot thinking of getting the gap to the spot weld fully welded in.
If I were in your shoes I would turn it in to insurance . H-D will not weld on a frame. Your Insurance will have to pay for a frame replacement,,,Then you weld it yourself and use the money for a big bore kit,,LOL
It be cheaper for me to just weld it up I.M.O. so thats whats going to happen. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem or if it's just in the evo chasis.
