I just bought a harbor freight floor motorcycle jack. Not looking for comments about the jack.

Looking for some ideas to where to put the straps to hold it on the bike. It's a street glide. I think I could use the neck where the crash bar attachs for the front but where are u guys attaching straps on the back. I will be removing the saddlebag supports so that will not work. Rear wheel will be off too. Thanks

I've never used the straps. But don't leave it up over night without setting the lock bar. It will slowly lose pressure and lower down

+1 on the locking bar! I've never used more than 1 strap usually under the front of the seat on my RK.

Beware of balance when you drop that rear wheel off. I had my RK on mine, and had to catch it when I dropped the rear wheel off. It started a slow tip forward.

This may not work for most, but I work on my bikes in my basement (long story). Floor joists are above me at less than 7 feet, so I have eye hooks in the joists installed. I run the straps around the handle bars and UP to the eye hooks. Keeps the straps out of my way and is good with keeping the bike in one place when you start to get off balance.

Again, this will not work for most, but if your situation is similar it works out real nice.

I'm with fox. Have to watch out for the bike tipping because the balance point becomes different when you start taking the bags and rear wheel off. I don't know that I would even trust the straps tied from the bike to the jack. Now maybe you could put something under the front wheel so that when the balance point changes, then the front tire can't go down.
