New model designs and changes are done by June. Factory in York closes down to retool in July. August new model is shipped to dealer. If you push the dealer they have publications on new model's in June.

Well, if you are looking at getting on the Duece, the Wide Glide or the RK Custom, you may want to get on that. Hearing a lof of RUMORS that those models are getting killed in 08.

Welcome. BUT I should warn you, this site is addicting. I am on here ever night. love ready all the post and replying to them. This site is great. And a lot of good information.

Waiting for the '08 is a good idea. But it will be hard this summer watching all the bikes riding around and having to wait. In the meantime, if it is viable to you, rent a few bikes you are interested in, they wont be exactly the same as the '08 you want, but you may be able to nail down the model you want.
So true Papa! I am on more than I am at work. This site along with several members is soley responsible for my addiction. I have spent countless dollars since Sept 06. Beware! I just dropped 1700 this week alone on an intake and Thundermax.

If it's like previous years, bikes will be on the HD website sometime during the last week of July.

I saw the new 07 Ultra Classic in white gold at Thunderbird Harley in Albuquerque the last week of July in 06, so apparently the dealers can get some of the new models as early as late July.

The '08 models will actually start shipping a week or so prior to the dealer show and will be available for purchase the day of the announcements at many dealers. I bought my '07 LowRider about 5 hours after the announcement on 7/14/06.

I bought my bike July 25 and there were already lots of 07's on the floor. They actually had Peace Officer and Firefighter editions on the Floor. But they were dealing on the the 2006 models.
