Just picked up my new 2015 streetglide sat. Put 40 miles on it and felt every crack in the roads. Air pressure is 35lbs. book says 40 - 50 when riding 2up.
Is this how it will ride? Don't want to start spending money yet on new shocks.
The street glides ride a little rougher due to the 12 " shocks, I ran 45 psi riding 2 up with a tourpac the ride was a rough but not bad ,the wife never complained. I did however picked a pair of Ultra Shocks for cheap they are 13" shocks and ride a lot better IMHO.
Drop the air pressure in the shocks to suit you. Carry the little air pump on a ride and then try less air or more until you get that "just right" feel.
I dont have air ride however::
My SGS had a very hard ride when new. Mine has 'premium ride shocks'. I was dissatisfied with the super hard ride, it felt like a hard tail. But I was patient and after 1500 miles the ride smoothed out some. Still a hard ride but much more livable.
Might want to check the dial on the Left Rear shock. They are adjustable with a **** that you turn in and out. Your manual covers this, based on how much weight is on the bike. Might want to check and see where the **** is adjusted. The more it is screwed in, the rougher the ride if the bike is not loaded two up.
