I have seen many strange questions here. I have another. Yes alcohol is somewhat involved.
I have seen the phrase " two types of riders... those who have went down and those who will"... while I truly feel for those who have, I wonder about this statement. I have had one major and several minor incidents. Years ago. Many bikes ago. I have not gone down on this bike. Yet. Does this mean I'm still in the hunt to go down again? Or am I a member of the "gone down" group and shouldn't have to worry??
Maybe I shouldn't drink so much at one sitting.....

How much alcohol? The expression seems pretty self-explanatory. It isn't you are going to fall down on every bike. Just eventually the odds are you will have at least one accident. You have already had one. I have met guys with half-million miles riding motorcycles without going down. So there are exceptions.
I am not saying it isn't true, but I think it is a bad attitude to have.
Beer and riding probably shouldn't do but it's to much fun
I've been down a couple times from those fun times, but the one time there was a car involved I was perfectly sober
I'm going to open another beer

This type of statement is often referred to as a "binary" or two dimensional statement. In other words, there are really only two possible outcomes.
Unfortunately, we live in a four-dimensional world so the premise of the statement is false.
Aw come on guys.....I have a two beer limit while riding! All my incidents happened sans alcohol. The alcohol now is imbibed at home in my La-Z-Denny! These were just thoughts after reading about one of our own going down. I'm not superstitious....and always ride with the understating something might happen. Just a random thought. Albeit one that seems a bit foolish.
