bd,
I'm just across the river from you in Plum here in PA.
heres a pic of where they put mine when they installed the chrome front end. It's under the passenger floorboard, riveted to the frame.
bike new with inspection sticker wraped way down at bottom of front frame tube. can barley see, only with a flash light on your knees(its brown this year inP.A. too). Ive never inspected a bike which is probably stupid. only had it checked when I did a burn out and sticker expired in 1 day! on a previous bike. just got a warning. My sporster was shipped from another state new and has never had a sticker on it period. Dont plan on even bothering but besides the ticket it can add some sort of blemish to you dmv record that might cause an insurance company to over look you for discounts but my insurance agent is way cool and said he doent care"mony for the goverment".
DOWN TUBE ON FRAME
Its a non moving violation so it shouldn't even be seen on your DMV record?
Well I tried to get the state to make the sticker the color of the bike or black, no luck.
If you mean the bike, Ya I guess you could see it that way.
Bay, I would never call anyones ride fugly. Everyone has their own opinion on what they like in a bike. I just think they should be a little more discrete in the location of the plate. JMO.
