I was under the impression that the Limited comes standard with the premium hand adjustable shock... Like the SGS. But 13" instead of 12". I can't imagine the MOCO would put air shocks on their LIMITED. I guess nothing surprises me anymore. Not hating, just genuinely curious... And possibly dumbfounded.
And what, may I ask, gave you that impression?
The Limiteds have always came stock with air shocks.
With air-adjustable suspension that comes standard, you can dial in your ride to accommodate heavier or lighter payloads, battle unexpected road conditions or simply set it to how you like to roll. The lighter the load, the softer you can go by decreasing the air pressure a bit, or increase the air pressure for a more firm ride. A convenient air valve is located between the saddlebag and rear fender for quick adjusting. It's all about rider and passenger comfort and setting your bike to fit your tastes the easy way.
Well, that's what I get for assuming. Still a little dumbfounded (mostly dumb). I'm not under the belief that the premium hand adjustable shocks were world changers... But how do you offer a "upgraded" shock on your Streetglide special (over the standard), and not offer a similar upgrade on the Limited?! We're talking about the MOCO's flagship top of the line touring rig (excluding CVO crappola). Damn
My line of thinking is if HD can't put decent shocks on stock I'll be damned if I'm going to give them any more money. I'll go aftermarket for better shocks.
Do some research on some of that "CVO crappola" and you may be further surprised.
The $39,649 CVO Roadglide comes with air shocks.
That's particularly weird seeing as the 13 RG CVO came with the 12 inch hand adjustable shocks.
FWIW, no one's missing out by not having them. I guess vs the regular 12 inch shocks they may be better. I don't know. But overall, I'm not impressed.

That right there makes perfect sense to me. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice..... well, you know.
My 13 cvo ultra came with air shocks, the 15 limited low I traded for has manual premium shocks that I am still working on. I have 3200 miles on the new bike and need to adjust them a little more for two up riding.
