Ok, new to the forum, so bear with me, Please.

How about Rinehart True Duals, Sert and Stage One Air Cleaner on a 06' Ultra for $1100 Dealer Installed? Did I do Ok? Does it seem like a good Price? Just waiting for the Sert like everyone else. If I posted this in the wrong area, forgive me. Just curious...Thanks for your understanding...

I hear that a Zippers ThunderMax with autotune is the way to go!!! And you do not need a Dyno!!!

Good choice of pipe if you love big sound as the newer Rineharts are better than those of a few years ago. As far as tuners go,there are (IMHO) much better tuning devices than the Screamin Eagle Race Tuner (SERT). The Thunermax system with their Auto Tune feature is one of the best ways to go for newer bikes. These new tuners are not the simple pot style adjusting tools that add fuel here and there and then require a dyno session to see what you've changed and how the A/F ratio is set, they are extremelysmart EFI controllers that replace your existing ECM Module andinclude wide band 02 sensors to read and measure Air Fuelratios in open/closed loop.

The system then ensures you have it tuned for the best performance andcomes complete witha new harness which is supplied with the kit. This can all be installed at home if your handy with the tools and can terminate a few wires, but you should be conversant with Windows PC operations and should have a laptop handy. This eliminates the need for dyno tuning as the 02 sensors automaticallyread all the variables you can throw at it such as head work, cams, exhaust, intakes etc. All you do once you make a performance change, is download a new map, or connect to the ECM module to see where you are running lean or rich and tweak it as you like. The auto tuner does much of the work for you andyou canread more about the systems by visiting their respective web sites.

The 2 brands of device offered for the newer BT's arethe Daytona Twin Tecor Thundermax by Zippers. One of the members on this forum (Bart) aka Shooter64 can hook you up witheither of these tuners at a competitive cost, and a few guys on the forum have already installed these tuners with awesome results.I prefer the Thundermax myself!

Here are a couple links you'll want to check out for further info.

Daytona Twin Tec or and Thundermax EFI

Vance and Hines Dresser Duals, Vance and Hines Ovals, Sreamin Eagle Air Cleaner and the Vance and Hines fuel pack. I didn't notice any loss in performance, the dyno may show less torque at the low end, but I can't notice anything. It runs a bit cooler, the side of the bike looks cleaner without the cross overand I like the way it sounds.

my local dealer reccommended the rinehart true dual along with a screaming eagle efi fueler and a screaming eagle air filter...and a dynotune to be sure of tune.....what do you guys think about this combo?they said it would cost 150.00 for a tune on the dyno that would take an hour......is this a ripp off?

I have lost NO torque with my Rineharts. Get a good A/C and a SERT or PC111. You will feel no loss in power. I guarantee it

I agree. I have RHTD's on a '07 SG. The bike runs sweet! I am also running a Tmax and Doherty AC.

i love the sound of the rinehart true duals but dont want to lose any power......will the vance+hines fuel pak be a good tuner?
You can't help loosing power with true duals. Even with a tuner you are still going to loose power. I tried the V&H true duals using a SERT. Even after dyno tuning I noticed right away the loss of usable lowend power. I gained a little up top but that's not in the rpm range that's considered usable riding power. I ended up going to the V&H 2-1 Propipe. If I would not have did that I would have went back to the stock system with slip-ons.
