I have emailed them time and again to ask if they have it available in black pearl. They don't yet. But maybe with the rise of black pearl sg out there, they might. I just don't want to go through the added expense or time to buy one and get it painted.
Are you going to mount it with the tour pack mounting that MoCo puts out? Or did it come with one? Let us see it once you get it mounted, I have been toying with this as well. Man, I have so many things I want to buy, I gotta get a second job!! lol
Mountainkowboy, I have an extra set of HD tour pak latches you can have free--shoot me a pm with your mailing address and I will send them to you. I bought a TP on ebay and before it arrived I ordered new latches. When the TP arrived and I saw the latches on the box, I would have used the latches on it, but already had the new ones so when the box was dissassembled for paint, I used the new latches when reassembling the box.
That's a nice looking box. Let us know how much your "all in" cost is once you buy the metal plate, hinges, liner, etc.
I put one of those $110.00 paks on my EG couple of weeks ago. The cover vibrates while riding and found that it rubs where the cover meets the box, crating wear spots and wearing away the stock gasket. I put some extra gaskets (not included) on the corners and snugged it up. Problem solved. I bought the luggage rack to go on top too for an extra $58.00. I have to take off that stupid VIP logo, though. Overall, not bad for the money...
