Default HELP! Another security system post

First of all, I have searched all the previous threads on this topic and can't find the answer that will work for me. Here's the situation:

I bought a 2007 Electraglide Ultra Classic in August from a reseller.
Yesterday, while on a 150 mile ride, the key light starts flashing. I have both key fobs.
After a short stop, tried to mount up and it won't start.
I changed the battery in the fob - still nothing.
I don't know the pin - never asked or got it from the previous owner.
I tried the "hold both turn signal buttons" and the "press three left 3 times and right once" steps - still nothing.
I tried "11111" and "12345" - still nothing.
Anything else I've missed?

My 900# hog is dead asleep in the corner of the garage.

Try the last five of the VIN.
Some dealers use that.
Worth a shot.
Also maybe get the manual out.
If the fobs are present, you can reset I think. I'd pull the main fuse and try if nothing else.

Try 31313 or the last 5 numbers of your VIN. I've heard some dealers use these choices on setup.
If the previous owner changed it, then obviously, these won't work.

I tried the last 5 of the vin forward and backwards - still nothing. I haven't tried the main fuse but I did disconnect the battery overnight trying for reset - still nothing.

One other thing - with a key fob present with fresh battery, the key light still stays lit showing it is alarmed even with the key fob present.

As for the manual, I am probably the third+ owner so the owner's manual had not been seen for a very long time!

Thanks for your help.

If the steps you described above are the ones to change the security code on your bike then:1st- have only one fob present, 2nd- run thru the sequence again( you may have to try this several times to get it right, it will not work if you hesitate at any time during the process), 3rd- set new code. Pulling the main fuse will do nothing, except maybe set off the alarm if you have one.

Make sure your cell phone is not closer than 12" to FOB. Cell phones can scrambler you signal.

With only one fob present follow the steps belowand this is for a fob with no buttons

1. Select 5 digit code ( each digit being a 1 thru 9) and record it on the wallet card in the owners manual.

2. With an assigned FOB present, turn IGN key ON - OFF - ON - OFF - ON

3. Press Left turn signal switch 3 times.

4. Press Right turn signal switch one time and release.
*Turn signals will flash 3 times. Current PIN will appear in the odometer. The first digit will be flashing.

5. Enter first digit (a) of the new PIN by pressing left turn signal (a) times.

6. Press right turn signal 1 time and release.
*The new digit (a) will replace the current in the odometer window.

7. Enter second digit (b) of the new PIN by pressing left turn signal switch (b) times.

8. Press right turn signal 1 time and release.
*The new digit will replace the current in odometer window.

9. Enter the third digit (c) of the new PIN by pressing left turn signal (c) times.

10. Press the right turn switch 1 time and release.
*The new digit (c) will replace the current in the odometer window.

11. Enter forth digit (d) of the new PIN by pressing left turn signal switch (d) times.

12. Press the right turn switch 1 time and release.

13. Enter the fifth digit (e) of the new PIN by pressing left turn signal (e) times.
*The new digit (e) will replace the current in the odometer window.

14. Press the right turn switch 1 time and release.

15. Before the module rearms, turn ignition key to OFF.
* The odometer will return to mileage display.
**Turning the ignition to OFF stores the new pin in the module.

Thanks for the advice. I've done step 1-4 over 20 times and the pin never shows up. All I get is the key light turning on and the flashers starting. I'm starting to think I have a defective security system and it will towed to the dealer tomorrow.

Wow that sucks that you can't get it to reset. Was hoping there was a way.
One of first things I asked my dealer, as I've had friends that sat when the fob battery went and they didn't have the code. Hopefully not too expensive to correct. Did the 07 have the solid fob? My 03 had push button and wifes 08 was solid.

Yeah, I am really bummed out about it! My 07 has a solid fob and my friend has an 03 with a push button. I'll keep this thread updated with what and how much $$$ the dealer does for me in case someone else ever has this problem.
