Default baffle sizes

Does anyone run different sized baffles? 2-1-2 exhaust the right side has a lot more forceful exhaust, I was think a 1 3/4 baffle on it and a 2 on the right. Does this make any sense, or run them both the same?

Yes it does make sense. On stage 1 and most stage 2 builds many aftermarket exhaust systems are too free flowing to perform as well as they could, losing low end torque is the result. An old tuner trick is to install a restriction in the left side of a 2-1-2 system to enable it to perform more like a 2-1 does. Doc Weaver in Fla. told me about this after I had my bike dyno tuned by him. It had 4" Rineharts and a Fuel Moto Jackpot 2-1-2. He said I would pick up a few ft lbs of Tq. & a pony or 2 if I restricted the left side a little.

I have 2" in the right side and the left down to about 1" wild pig slipons and the stock header 2006 EG. Added TW21 cams and a dyno tune and I'm at 90tq. Poor mans home made copy of a setup similar to what I saw from Fuel Moto some years back.
