Default front motor mount
visualy it looks good , what is the easiest way to check it to see if it bad

Whenever i replaced mine the motor was bouncing far enough to lightly touch somewhere making a ticking noise which prompted me to look for the source. Only 2 I ever replaced were on an 89 at 50k miles and an '03 again around 50 k miles.

If it's bad, the motor will just about shake the glasses off your head at idle.

Is there a newer updated version for the 2000-7 or so bikes?

The MoCo has upgraded it several times over the years, the latest part number is #16207-79D.

I heard that the "d" version is really stiff hard rubber , anybody heard of this?

I installed this after I took out the new Harley one that had only a thousand miles on it. Glide -Pro mount was a savior.
With the new Harley mount my bike at 60mph was not fun to ride the handlebars vibrated so bad. It's a hundo but i paid 70 for the O.E.M. one which I threw away.
