chain drive
has anyone ever converted their belt drive to chain drive and if so what are the advantages or disadvantages. just checking

Can't see any logical reason for getting rid of a nice clean, long running belt in favor of a greasy chain - especially on a touring bike.

the one an only reason I could posably think of is he ease of replacing a broken chain

I just noticed that a cvo I was looking at was chain driven and was wondering what the reason would be. It was a 2013 and just playin with the numbers

That thing may have some BIG power??? Chains are stronger than belts...

If you have the HP and torque, then go for it. I know there are people on here that have done it.

Pros= easy to change gear ratios, strength, fixable easily on side of road, cheap to replace, can run wider tire, and ....
Cons = Noise, can be dirtier, more maintenance required ....
