I ride a 2004 88" motor Road King and have several sets of slipons I swap all the time. My favorite being the SE Supertrapps.
Last year I needed to quiet my bike and make it ticket proof for a ***** biker hating CHP who lives down the street.
I removed the SE slipons and stuck stock ones from a 2004 on. It was choking the bike and quiet.
Next I tried some new ones from a 2007, slightly better sound but still choking it.
Next I tried some new ones from my Baby Brothers 2013 103" bike, these actually sound good and when Ii swapped back and forth from the SE there was not a super noticeable loss.
I have recently upgraded cams and tuner with the 2013 muffs and will be trying the SE ones again to see the difference.
If you must go stock ones get some from a 103" later model bike and I bet you will be happy.
2- TC 88 stock mufflers are quite restrictive, most SE slipons mufflers are less
restrictive then stock ones.
3- Are your SE slipon mufflers to loud ? I don't get it, there must be a reason to
want to revert back to stock, please explain.
I am getting a complete exhaust (new take off) mine are painted black and thought since the price was right I would go back to the chrome ,pain in the butt to keep touching up the black that's all
