In looking through this thread I was expecting to see someone who has drilled holes in a standard plastic kennel available from any pet store and bolting that directly to a 1 or 2 up T Pak rack in place of the T Pak. This would have the dog enclosed but would still have plenty of ventilation.
Going this route one might need some plywood support under the kennel and above the T Pak rack. The front window/opening on the kennel should probably be blocked to help keep the wind out of the dogs eyes as that isn't good for them.
I have a friend that I ride with at times, he has a little Yorkie that rides with him everywhere. The dog is connected to him via a collar that he wears and is hooked to the dogs harness. The dog can fall no farther than the riders belly. That dog will climb down his arm while going down the slab and bark at the cars as we pass them. That Yorkis is known around our area as Harley, the Biker Dog.
Back in the day there was a guy that raced desert with his dog on the tank, I think there's a little clip of it in the film On any Sunday, I used to have a female pitbull that I put carpet on the tank of my CBX and she would jump up on the tank and you couldn't take her off without a ride around the block.
