I bought a used windshield for my bike and was very happy until it tried to remove some stickers the previous owner has on it..
I tried soap and water and several different cleaners and now have fogged a spot where you can tell I melted the lexan w "remover"..
my question is?..since it is on the botton half of the windshield and not a area I look thru, can I paint the lower half black?
can I just maybe tint the bottom half super darl and try to hide it?
a new windshield is $150..so whatever repairs I attempt has to be cheap or I order a new one..
I had a painter spray the lower half of a customers green Heritage with a matching green paint. This one faded into the clear from the bottom to halfway to the top. It didn't look bad IMO.
I still have a shield for my Road King that is (was) color matched to my paint. Be creative and you might just be the next millionaire. Merry Christmas!!!
I painted the inside of my entire windshield black. Had it this was for almost 4 years now I love it. I've never liked looking through a windshield, to me, it's just a wind deflector. Pics in my garage.
You could use regular auto window tint film available in different shades from Home Depot, auto parts stores, etc. It is easy to apply and can be taken off.
