Not to be a "Debbie downer" but have tried this style of led bulb in my snowmobile. While you do get lots of light, it is not focused like the halogen bulb inserts.
If you are concerned about riding at night, would not recommend them.
I did, however, put a pair on my Chevy SSR. It comes with reflector style headlight, that is where this style bulb really "shines" (pun intended)
But, I will wait for first hand reports from the other forum members.
Just installed the JW Speaker 8700 Evolution 2 in the bike the other day. Got it for myself for Christmas and really like it. A bit pricey, but no issues.
Installed the Fuel Moto H4 LED on my 2013 Street Glide, love it. Very bright & white light, great distance. Only downside I can see is with "Bright" on there is not much of a difference. Cooling fan is not loud at all, can be heard slightly when key on engine off. Hope this helps.

Yeah, that's exactly why I opted to give this new light a try. That seems to be what most of the people I know say about their LEDs, regardless of brand. And why I was so impressed with my 80/100 Hella. My 80/100 seemed pretty close to most of the LEDs I have compared to on LOW Beam, but almost ALWAYS threw more light on high beam. But its NOT DOT. Then I read the specs on this fan cooled LED and I am hoping for a pretty kick a$$ high beam. Or at least something that can whip my 9 dollar 80/100 Hella. I will let you guys know. Its a pretty small investment that I hope is worth the money. I have a super secret weapon in the works as well, but that's for another thread!

you might want to check out a "ceramic" plug for that Hella 80/100 ... I had one in mine and it melted the plug on the way home one night ... Good thing I still had passing lamps

Agreed. Most people do what you did and blame faulty wiring. I installed the ceramic plug and that's the first thing i tell people who want the high power bulbs. Get a ceramic plug!
